hey we're here at the international Roofing Expo in Las Vegas and we're actually on the hunt for some of the most Innovative products come check it out I always hey I'm here with Joe from certained Joe talk to me about your new solar uh shingle and uh what problem does this really help solve
oh well one of the the the biggest complaints is what solar looks like on top of a roof so what you're doing in a traditional solar system is you're putting these large lag bolts through the roof all these different sources for possible leaking and it's sticking up off the roof and there's a lot of people who just don't like that aesthetic so what this is just like a regular solar system but it's part of the roof so instead of shingles let's show let's get a little closer to this product and this is new new right for certainty that's right it's our third generation of something similar to it but the solsa shingle is our latest generation with a a different look and we've also made it different in that we make it really easy to lay it out and quote it and make it part of a roofers offering as you know you can do just our shingles or you can do a solar um Solstice shingle with the rest of your shingles around it
so you don't do you put this on top of shingles or this is instead ofing it's in a new roof or a re roof when you when you're going to do something like this will'll Supply everything so we Supply the this proper underlayment which is our Grace underlayment a really top-of-the-line waterproofing underlayment as well as the panels itself all the flashing that goes around it to make it waterproof and uh uh you know I guess weatherproof system as far as like getting in the sun rays and output
yeah how does this compare to a norm let's go around to your normal one real quick and just compare like how does this compare yeah to kind of the older School uh like full panel right so it's essentially one of the other reasons we went to this third generation is the cells constantly evolve yeah so this is new and it's pretty close to the the the most top-of-the-line cell right now it's also a very durable cell that we have on our soci shingle but it's very little difference you'll notice one of them is smaller but when you have a whole system together it's outputting the same amount of energy very similar

okay can we talk about this other product over here this is new as well correct yep and what is this
so this is now our sun style so the sunstyle is um developed in in Switzerland and it's designed to have this Swiss Chalet look um my God that's a beautiful roof it is a beautiful beautiful Ro that's a high-end roof right the first one in the United States if I if I remember correctly is was the Google headquarters okay where it's it's a beautiful beautiful system we like to call it a dragon scale those those guys have a couple bucks they do have a couple bucks and it is a little bit more expensive it's about it's similar to like maybe a a metal roof with a traditional solar system on but this is is this going to be houses are putting this on you said Chalet absolutely okay it's good it has that look but any kind of you know right now it's very popular like in like um it is a little bit you know the the a highend roof high-end roof but like um the mountains in Colorado these these ski resorts yeah it's a beautiful and these these big solar solar uh panels just built right in that's right yep
so this is all like the new generation of solar panel stuff where it's just getting more integrated roof integrated that's what we call yep

awesome and um any other things you'd like to share about these new products and and I guess where can people check them out I I would say come uh certainty. comom solar you can look at any of our solar options the traditional solar panel which includes a full wrap warranty for for a more traditional roof uh solar system the solstice shingle um for that we've made it really easy to uh bring in uh solar or Roofing people and uh get them up to speed quickly and then and then lastly it'll show the sunstyle also a new roof situation

and I just I guess one last question you can have me trim this if you want sure but the question is really like roofers are reluctant to integrate solar into their offering sure it's certainly a thing that like the industry is just everyone was so a gung-ho yeah but then like you ask a roofing Solar Company and they don't have a ton of solar yeah a lot of times it's very heavy on Roofing so the question is do you do you see this is an Avenue to get more of those roofers on board with this to actually offer this
yeah yeah so I understand it we've come across it already honestly this is like there are some where it's just like it is a little bit of a different world and their head exploded yeah what they have to remember is as long as they have an electrician or they partner with an electrician or someone who already does some solar you need someone to do the wiring and you need someone to pull the permit yeah okay beyond that basically it's no different than doing kind of a higher end roof that that one is incredibly simple like I'm not a roofer and I've done this stuff like that so it's really easy Up on the Roof it's really the the process of getting that permit um getting the wiring done all that kind of stuff which isn't that difficult either when you become a credentials installer with us you get um you get access to our Aurora platform which is kind of the preeminent and leading uh design quote software and um with that you can lay it out you just put in the address put in a little a little bit some some um utility bills and it will spit out a system that 100% offsets the the energy used by that home and you know how the whole thing's going to get laid out once that's done you have the job sold with your homeowner you um you have all the stuff later you just say give me the info for the permit package and then it all gets spit out of that Aurora package that we provide our credential installer so it's we've made it as simple as we possibly can but you still have to have that electrician or that partnership with the Solar Company and you have to have that motivation
I think it's a little bit of a a problem with the motivation rers cuz our current business is good yeah but I'm I'm just it's it's a lot it's a little bit of yeah I I will tell you I mean the let's say a a kind of on the bigger side system is a 10 kilowatt system um in a situation like that profits extra profits that you have about $8,000 mhm that's not bad yeah yeah learn to do it I think that's some pretty good motivation what's the uh certain.com solar a provides all our solar PLS thank you so much all right bye
