Initial Setup and Installation Insights
Unboxing and Panel Assembly
hey everyone I've got a quick review and setup of This Blink outdoor camera and solar panel when you open this thing up you get to peel off all the nice plastic on it and then you can see the solar panel can come off and can be placed elsewhere it's got a separate Mount if you need to do that it's about a two foot line that you can put it other places if your camera is not in direct sunlight and then if you do that you put the cover on top of this and you're good to go otherwise you want to leave that on there and you can angle it a little bit with the ball joint that it mounts on it just clicks right on there and then you mount the camera on the bottom and it the whole system works great together you do have to unscrew the back panel and I would recommend taking the protective boot off of this because the camera micro USB cord from the solar panel that will seal the back of the camera instead of having that little flap so it doesn't get in the way
App Integration
set up on this is super easy you just scan the QR code inside the camera and and it adds it to your blink apps cameras it I mean it's it doesn't get any simpler than that
Physical Mounting and Durability
mounting this thing is super easy it takes a matter of minutes the hardest part is actually getting out a ladder to put it up high uh it it has two screw holes here for the panel uh to mount and you mount that panel and then you slide the light on over top of it which makes it really easy you don't have to juggle anything while you're doing it you just put the small lightweight panel up there and then screw it and just set it in after you've screwed the panel onto the house now I use siding Clips on mine in the way the geometry was set up I can only fit one in there but it's been pretty secure it's been through a storm already with pretty high winds and it hasn't come off
Long-Term Performance and Ecosystem Satisfaction
Extended Battery Life and System Reliability
all right so I've had the blink system for about two years now I love it and this is an extra option that you can get that will give you a longer battery life for your blink outdoor cameras I've gotten around two years out of all of mine with the double A Lithium-ion batteries and this one's just going to make it so I don't have to worry about changing the batteries every two years so overall I'm definitely happy with the blink system I think I'm up to like eight cameras now with a doorbell I just love the Amazon keeps adding on to this they're really showning a commitment to to continuing to develop and improve their product over time
