Generac PWRCell System Components cost!!

Technical Data Sheet: Performance analysis and hardware configuration for generac-pwrcell-cost.

Introduction to Generac PWRcell System

well hello there believe it or not it's me i'm back due to popular demand by one person they requested that i do a video on the cost of the generac power system components so without further ado here it is

okay the first thing to tell you that's important is that you have to buy the generac power cell system as exactly that you have to buy the whole system it's designed all the components are designed to work together and they're integrated into one package

some people do like to buy somebody else one per company's inverter another company's battery another company's battery management system which is the device that controls the charging and discharging of the battery the string optimizers that go on your solar panel strings to get the best output from them that you can can be all purchased by different companies and then made to work together but not as an integrated system so i'm going to be giving you the cost of all the components individually

Generac PWRcell Component Breakdown and Pricing

Individual Component Costs

so there's the power cell inverter here and that cost is hang on got to get my piece of paper the inverter is 2 900 that is for the 7 kilowatt version there is an 11 kilowatt version that is more

the battery cabinet over here hope you like the fancy moves the battery cabinet is 2400. this holds up to six batteries each battery is 2.85 kilowatts of usable power and you must have a minimum of three batteries you cannot just buy one for the system operate it must have a minimum of three the batteries are seventeen hundred dollars a piece and that's a total of fifty one hundred dollars

you also need something called the pb link string optimizer and that's a 2500 watt device that goes on your solar panels i think you have up to five per pv link those are about 470 470 dollars a piece

Dealer Pricing Considerations

now i'd also like you to remember that the costs that i'm quoting you are from a generac authorized dealer and each dealer can mark them up differently depending on how much competition they have in the area and their pricing policies i think these are the low end prices you may be able to find them cheaper but if you buy them from a solar installer he's probably going to mark them up some

Installation Costs and System Comparisons

Total System Component Cost and Exclusions

all those prices added together it came to ten thousand eight hundred and seventy dollars that doesn't include the cost of the solar panels the wiring or the entire installation that a solar installer is going to have to give you

Installer Bids and Overhead

i also wanted to talk about that as well in the area in which i live there's one real solar installer and it happens to be a generac authorized solar installer if you live in an area where you've got two three four five companies they can give you bids on installing a generac system it may you may get different prices from them again depending on how much profit and overhead they have as well overhead is the cost of them running their operations

Generac PWRcell vs. Tesla Powerwall 2

i also wanted to talk about this versus the tesla powerwall 2 again in the tesla powerwall 2 you get the battery and the inverter built into the same box and i believe installed i've heard prices between eight thousand and eleven thousand dollars so it's difficult to compare the systems because that system is designed to be basically standalone you can have the tesla powerwall 2 is a built inverter and you can have other components for your solar system from different companies that will work with it this system won't do that it's integrated it only works with other other components that it was designed to work with that's what i like about it but some people may not like that i just wanted to make sure you understood that

Community Engagement and Future Content

oh and i'd like to give a shout out to jeremy he's the one that asked for this video i'm very happy i've had over 200 views i've had a few subscribers i've had five or six comments a couple questions one that i answered directly from the i responded directly to what was asked in the chat below the video this one asked for a video so here we are if there's other aspects about the system that you'd like to know about i'd be happy to make the videos as i said and i still do plan on doing one about the power of you app that runs on your smartphone that lets you see a lot of the functions of the system hope you have a great day and enjoy the video uh subscribe write comments below ring the little bell so that you'll know when i upload another video and have a great day thanks

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Does the Generac PWRcell system require all its components to be from Generac?

A1: Yes, the Generac PWRcell system is designed as an integrated package where all components are specifically designed to work together. Unlike some other solar setups, you must purchase the entire system as Generac components and cannot mix and match with other manufacturers' parts.

Q2: What is the minimum battery requirement for a Generac PWRcell system?

A2: A minimum of three batteries is required for the Generac PWRcell system to operate. Each battery provides 2.85 kilowatts of usable power, bringing the minimum battery cost to $5,100.

Q3: Are the quoted Generac PWRcell prices fixed, or can they vary?

A3: The prices quoted are from a Generac authorized dealer and are subject to variation. Dealers may mark up prices differently based on factors like local competition and their specific pricing policies. Additionally, if purchased from a solar installer, the final price will likely include their markup.
