Activating Your Enphase Energy System
hi I'm Tony vernetti with nphase energy congratulations on getting an nphase energy system in this video I'll show you how to turn on your system after you have permission to operate from your electric utility your nphase system may have only solar panels or it could also have one or more batteries.
Initial System Setup: Solar-Only Configuration
first I'll go over turning on a solaron system most solar systems with nphase microinverters will have a box like this called the IQ combiner inside the IQ combiner there may be up to five circuit breakers depending on the size of your system the two Breakers in the top and the two breakers on the bottom are for the solar panels and this breaker in the middle is for the system's monitoring component called the IQ Gateway which is also inside this box all circuit breakers inside the IQ combiner should be switched to the on position.
Locating and Engaging the Disconnect Switch
n phase systems will also have another disconnect switch which could be a circuit breaker in the main service panel or a subpanel or it might be an external switch like the one pictured it should be clearly labeled as the solar disconnect or PV disconnect or something like that depending on the ahj this switcher Breakers should also be in the on position.
Confirming Power Production and Monitoring
now that all Breakers and the switch are on after a few minutes your solar system will start producing power and you'll be able to monitor your system with the nphase app on your phone or tablet or on your computer with with the nase monitoring website congratulations on activating your nphase solar system thanks for watching

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What types of Enphase systems are mentioned in the video?
A1: The video mentions Enphase systems that may have only solar panels or could also have one or more batteries, such as the Enphase Encharge storage system.
Q2: How do I know if my Enphase system is successfully producing power?
A2: After all breakers and the disconnect switch are in the 'on' position, your solar system will start producing power within a few minutes. You can then monitor its performance using the Enphase app on your phone or tablet, or via the Enphase monitoring website on your computer.
Q3: What is the purpose of the IQ Combiner box?
A3: The IQ Combiner box houses up to five circuit breakers necessary for the solar panels and the system's monitoring component, the IQ Gateway. All circuit breakers inside the IQ combiner should be switched to the 'on' position to activate the solar panels and monitoring.
