How to connect solar panels to Bluetti solar generator start to finish Ac200P and Ac200Max

Technical Data Sheet: Performance analysis and hardware configuration for bluetti-pv200.

Setting Up Your Bluetti with a Solar Panel

hey guys today i want to show you how easy it is to set up a solar panel with your bluetti so let's get into it

Understanding Solar Panel Compatibility

all right guys the first thing i want to mention is when you're going to buy your generator you got to figure out what type of panel you're going to need and how much wattage and all of that it needs but also how much dc it needs to start charging your box or your blue eddy so the ac200 max only needs 12 volts from the solar panel to start charging other models might need more like i think the ac 200p needs 35 volts so this 12 volt panel won't charge it up

Making the Physical Connections

okay with that being said let's get into it the first thing you're going to need is this cable this cable comes with the blue eddy now there is a negative and a positive and you're going to take this and you're going to tie this to these wires here and these are from your solar panel they come from the back of this solar panel now you can't really mess it up because this one cannot connect to this one it can only connect to this one snap them in

now the next part is the end of that cable is this this cable plugs into this guy this also comes with your blue eddy now we're going to connect this wire to this see if i could do it with one hand that noise is the ac 200 max fans kicking on

Configuring Your Bluetti for Solar Input

okay once you have this connected the next thing to do is actually not plug this in right away you're going to want to go to your settings on your 200 p or max you're going to change you're going to go to settings you're going to locate dc input and change it from other to pv once you have that done you can go back you can see the icon up here change to a solar grid

we're ready to install the end of this we're going to plug this into the solar input right here like so the light might pop on up here i don't know I'm in a bedroom so there's no sunlight in here but if i took this panel outside then the ac200 max would start to charge off of it and that's how easy it is to set up your solar panel and that's the same whether it's a rigid solar panel or a foldable solar panel if you like this video hit the subscribe button and like it i appreciate it thank you

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What minimum voltage does my Bluetti power station need to start charging?

A: Based on the transcript, the AC200 Max needs 12 volts from the solar panel, while the AC200P requires 35 volts. Always check your specific Bluetti model's specifications.

Q: Are the necessary connection cables included with my Bluetti unit?

A: Yes, the transcript states that the cable connecting the solar panel to the Bluetti, and the DC input cable for the Bluetti, both come with your Bluetti unit.

Q: Can I use any solar panel, like a Bluetti PV200, with my Bluetti power station?

A: While many solar panels, including the Bluetti PV200 (which typically has an Open Circuit Voltage of around 26.1V), can be used, it's crucial to match the solar panel's output voltage to your Bluetti model's charging requirements. For example, a 12-volt panel mentioned in the transcript won't charge an AC200P which needs 35 volts to start. Always verify compatibility.
